The City of Fairfax Band Goes Hollywood as their season of journeys continues with an exploration of Hollywood’s most iconic landmarks. Featuring the music of Bruce Broughton, Alfred Newman, Michael Giacchino, James Horner and the illustrious John Williams, we visit various times, places and adventures through their brilliant scores to Silverado, The Captain from Castille, Jurassic World, Titanic and Far and Away. The centerpiece of this expedition is a performance of Leonard Bernstein’s emotional and sensitive score to Elia Kazan’s cinematic masterpiece, On the Waterfront, the only film score Bernstein wrote, presented as part of the ongoing “Bernstein at 100” celebration.

The concert will be held at the Fairfax High School Auditorium at 7:30pm on Saturday, March 16. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and free to all students.
