City of Fairfax Offices Closed Tuesday, Other Updates
Municipality continues to dig out of snow storm. An update on city services and planned meetings.
Release:
Fairfax City Government Services for Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016:
- City government offices – closed; administrative leave for city employees
- City Council meeting - cancelled
- CUE Bus will run on a Sunday schedule – if detours are implemented, they will be announced before service begins January 26.
- Refuse and recycling service – no collection; a new collection schedule will be published on Tuesday, January 26
- No yard waste collection – service for yard waste collection resumes February 1

Call the City of Fairfax Snow Command Center at 703-385-2629 to report weather-related issues regarding city street conditions, downed tree limbs and utility wires on public roads in the city. All streets are expected to be passable by midnight on Monday, January 25, and neighborhood snow removal is expected to continue at least through the middle of the week.
City crews will continue to work around-the-clock to clear city streets. Please take time to check on neighbors who may need assistance.
