Come Steal Me: Mercedes With Key In Ignition Stolen In Sterling
An unlocked Mercedes with the key in the ignition was stolen Monday in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA — 'Tis a pity. Having a Mercedes Benz stolen is one thing, but having it stolen under the following circumstances in the 23000 block of Potomac Hill Square is quite another, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The victim told police it was swiped sometime between 2:30-6 a.m. Monday. Of course, it might not have been stolen at all if not for a couple of things. First of all, it was left unlocked. Second of all, the key was left in the ignition.
"Oh Lord, won't you buy me, a Mercedes Benz? I won't leave it unlocked; won't leave the key in." (apologies to Janis Joplin). (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts. Also, like us on Facebook, and if you have an iPhone, click here to get the free Patch iPhone app.)
