Comfort Inn Discomfort: Gun-Wielding Drunk Guy Arrested In Fairfax

A drunk guy was arrested Saturday in Fairfax after walking through a Comfort Inn while displaying a gun, according to Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — Yeah, this is exactly what you want after sleeping in on a Saturday morning at a motel and then heading downstairs to the common area for breakfast: a drunk guy strolling through the lobby with a gun. But that's more or less what happened last weekend in the Comfort Inn at 11180 Fairfax Boulevard, according to Fairfax Police.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., police responded to the scene, and employee told them a man had been walking through the hotel displaying a handgun. Officers tracked him down and arrested him. Terry Oakley, 46, of the 4400 block of Oakdale Crescent Drive, was charged with brandishing a firearm and public intoxication. He's being held without bond.
