Dan Drummond Appointed Interim Council Member in Fairfax

The former councilman will fill the vacant council seat of new Mayor David Meyer until September's special election.

FAIRFAX, VA — Former Fairfax city councilman Dan Drummond was appointed Tuesday as an interim council member, replacing the seat of newly elected Mayor David Meyer.

He will serve until the Sept. 12 special election results are certified and the new elected council member is sworn in.

Drummond served three terms (2008-14) and served on a variety of boards and committees.

He decided in 2014 not to run for run for re-election.
