FAIRFAX, VA — The closing of northbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) from Fairfax Boulevard to Eaton Place as part of the ongoing Northfax project has been postponed until Tuesday, according to city officials.

Target for completion of the project is the summer of 2018, and it's being done to improve roads and pedestrian accommodations at the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Fairfax Boulevard while also eliminating roadway flooding.

Traffic on northbound Chain Bridge Road will be directed to turn right onto Fairfax Boulevard, then left on Eaton Place, before returning to Chain Bridge Road. Northbound Chain Bridge Road traffic will have access to I-66.
