Developer Shaping Future of Paul VI Campus Site
Next week, regional builder tells public about ideas for site of Catholic high school in Fairfax City; school is moving to Loudoun County.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Paul VI High School is leaving Fairfax City in the next few years, and the future of the school’s 18-acre campus in the heart of town may become more clear next week in a community meeting.
The Diocese of Arlington, which oversees the Catholic high school, announced plans last year to move Paul VI to a new 68-acre campus in South Riding, in Loudoun County. The school has about 1,000 students, and the diocese said it has run out of space to expand on the current site, at 10675 Fairfax Blvd., facing rising and “unsustainable” costs to maintain the school’s buildings.
The diocese has hired the IDI Group Companies to prepare a plan to redevelop the Fairfax City property. Based in Arlington, the IDI Group has developed and built condominiums, offices, hotels and mixed-use projects throughout the Washington, D.C., region.
