Dine-And-Donate To Black History Month Scholarships At Fairfax City Eatery

A new collaboration supports local student scholarships through round-up and dine-and-donate initiatives at all Milk & Honey locations.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA – Thompson Restaurants, a subsidiary of Thompson Hospitality, announced a new community partnership for Black History Month. The restaurant group’s Milk & Honey concept, which has a location in Fairfax City, is collaborating with Washington D.C.'s Divine Nine.

This partnership reinforces the brand’s commitment to service, scholarship, and celebrating excellence. The Divine Nine refers to the National Pan-Hellenic Council’s network of nine historically Black fraternities and sororities. This group contributes to civic leadership, service initiatives, and educational advancement across the DMV region.

Milk & Honey intends to support the council’s ongoing scholarship and service efforts through this collaboration. The brand also aims to foster long-term relationships within influential Black communities in the region. The partnership includes two initiatives during February.

Through Feb. 28, Milk & Honey guests can participate in a "Round-up Two Week Initiative." Customers can round up their checks, with 100 percent of the proceeds supporting scholarships for local students in the Divine Nine NPHC scholarship fund. This initiative is available at all Milk & Honey locations, both in-store and online, including the Milk & Honey in the Turnpike Shopping Center at 9518 Main St., in Fairfax City.

Additionally, a "Black Love Dine & Donate Day" will take place on Friday, Feb. 27. On this day, Milk & Honey guests will receive a dedicated code. Using this code, 15 percent of their total bill will contribute to the scholarship fund. This event will also be held at all Milk & Honey locations.

"The Divine Nine represents leadership, legacy and service — values that deeply align with who we are as a company," said Warren Thompson, founder and chairman of Thompson Restaurants. He added that the partnership is personal to him as a lifetime member and former president of the Xi Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. Thompson stated that as a Black-owned business rooted in community, the company is proud to support an organization that uplifts future generations through service and education, especially during Black History Month.

This initiative aligns with Milk & Honey’s broader mission of "Southern Hospitality with a purpose." The brand uses its platform to serve food and create local impact in the communities that support it.
