Dog Tethering, Multifamily Proposal, Police and Fire Game Financing on Work Session Agenda

Dog tethering ordinance alternatives, a multifamily development, financing for the staging of a World Police and Fire Games event and more will be up for discussion at a Fairfax City Council work session next week.

The Fairfax City Council will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the City Hall Annex, 10455 Armstrong St.

Discussion topics include:

• A request by The IDI Group Companies for a proposed development of multifamily residential uses within the existing Mantua Professional Center at 9438 to 9450 Silver King Court.
• Dog tethering ordinance alternatives.
• City housing mix and related topics.
• A downtown park legacy donation policy and options.
• Financial responsibility for the staging of the World Police and Fire Games cycling criterium and muster.
• Potential contribution to Lamb Center to reimburse for city-imposed development fees for facility relocation.
