FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police closed Chain Bridge Road from Cedar Avenue to Kenmore Drive around 12 p.m. on Monday due to a downed utility pole and wires, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.

Police also closed Warwick Avenue to Kenmore Drive on Chain Bridge Road in both directions.

Police and fire units are on the scene detouring traffic. The public is asked to avoid the area.
