DUI Charge Filed Against MD Man; DIP Arrest Made On Main Street

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Two men were arrested recently on alcohol-related charges by the City of Fairfax Police, according to the weekly crime report.

Around 11:05 p.m., on Nov. 22, officers responded to the report of a single vehicle crash near Main and North streets. Officers arrested 30-year-old Mohammad Aryoubi of Lanham, Maryland. They then took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol. Aryoubi was held on a secure bond, according to police.

In the second case, officers responded around 10:20 p.m. on Nov. 24, to the Main St. Market Place at 10300 Main St. for the report of a suspicious man opening car doors in a parking lot.

The officers located 37-year-old James Houska of no fixed address in the area and determined that he was under the influence of alcohol, according to the report. During their investigation, police learned that Houska had been previously trespassed from Main Street Market Place.

Houska was taken to the detention center and charged with trespassing and being drunk in public. He was then held on a secured bond.
