Adult, Child Injured After Driver Crashes Into Fairfax Farmers Market Stand
An adult and child suffered non-life-threatening injuries after an elderly driver crashed into a Fairfax farmers market stand Saturday.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — An elderly driver crashed into a vendor stand at the City of Fairfax Farmers Market around noon Saturday, injuring one adult and one child, according to Fairfax County police.
Officers responded to the 10000 block of Main Street after receiving reports of a pedestrian crash. Preliminary information indicates the elderly driver struck a farmers market stand, Fairfax County Police said in a social media update.
The adult and child were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Despite the crash, the City of Fairfax Farmers Market remained open Saturday as officers investigated the incident.
Police did not immediately release additional information about the driver or the circumstances leading up to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
