Empire Today Opens Retail Store in Fairfax City

Empire Today LLC, commonly known as Empire Carpet, is holding the grand opening this week for a new store in Fairfax City, one of its first retail sites in the country.

The new store, at 9940 Fairfax Blvd. (Route 29/50), joins two locations in Long Island, New York, the home furnishings chain announced. The Illinois-based company has previously used other ways besides “brick-and-mortar” locations to sell carpets, home furnishings and other products, such as through websites and a 1-800 number.

“Empire Today is using its 55 years of shop-at-home experience to create a better kind of flooring store,” said Keith Weinberger, Empire’s chief marketing officer, in a press release. “Empire’s new stores will have a personal flooring specialist who collaborates with customers throughout their project, a hand-selected product assortment, special warranties, and Empire’s great pricing and specials.”
