Fairfax Symphony Presents New Work by Chilean Composer

Guest Artists:  Alturas Duo on guitar, viola, and charango

In this concert, the FSO presents the world premiere of a work it commissioned by the Chilean composer, Javier Farias.  The work incorporates the indigenous folk music and instruments of the composer’s native land.  The concert also continues the FSO’s three-year exploration of Sibelius’ music with Tapiola, his last and most evocative score.
