Mosby's Fairfax Raid Reenactment and Commemoration

 Saturday, March 9- Civil War Sesquicentennial Event


150th Anniversary Commemoration of Mosby’s Fairfax Count House Raid


Program will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Truro Church Campus, 10520 Main Street, Fairfax, with a reenactment of Confederate Col. John Singleton Mosby’s “Fairfax Court House Raid” and the capture of Union General Edwin H. Stoughton. Afternoon program of scholars and historians discussing Mosby’s Rangers and film screenings will take place at Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax.  Detailed program information will be available in early February by calling 703-385-8414 or by visiting www.fairfaxva.gov.
