National Concert Band at Fairfax High School

The National Concert Band of America will present its fall concert at 3pm, Sunday, September 30th in the auditorium at Fairfax High School, 3501 Rebel Run, Fairfax, VA 22030.


Tickets free for children (w/paying adult) and student (w/id), $5 for seniors/military/vets and $10 for adults. NCBA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by former military band members from the Washington, D.C. military bands, and is dedicated to preserving the great concert band tradition with high caliber musicians from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The band is lead by former Navy Band trumpeter, and Naval Academy Band Director, Melvin Paul Kessler (Lt. commander, USN Ret).


This concert will have a British theme and will include: Olympic Fanfare (Williams); William Byrd Suite (Jacob); Hands Across the Sea (Sousa); Irish Tune from Country Derry and Shepherd's Hey (Grainger); English Dances (Arnold) and the band's traditional Armed Forces on Parade and This is My Country.
