RESTORE: A Collection of Images In Restorative Justice

RESTORE

A Collection of Images In Restorative Justice

OAR of Fairfax has partnered with George Mason University School of Arts to develop a photography project title “Restore.”  Students were presented with a challenge to create a photography exhibit that captures the essence and spirit of the Restorative Justice concept.

The mission of OAR is rooted in the principals of restorative justice.  OAR provides Opportunities, Alternatives, and Resources for ex-offenders and their families to break the cycle of crime.   Individuals seeking assistance through OAR are expected to seek restoration for themselves, those they have harmed, and the community.  Local students were encouraged to discover the spirit of restoration through the camera’s lens.  They were encouraged to think creatively and capture images that would bring the concept of restoration into greater focus.

Please join OAR for a grand unveiling of the photography project!
