I-66 East To Be Reduced To A Single Lane Overnight Near Dunn Loring Starting Friday

VDOT will be reducing traffic on I-66 East to one lane in the overnight hours near Dunn Loring starting Friday and extending into next week.

FAIRFAX, VA — Drivers traveling eastbound on I-66 outside the Capital Beltway during the overnight hours this weekend and into next week should consider alternate routes in order to avoid delays caused by road closures.

Virginia Department of Transportation will be reducing I-66 East to one lane in the approach Cedar Lane in the Dunn Loring area. Work will begin on Friday, March 4 and run through Wednesday, March 9.

The closures will allow VDOT crews to install bridge beams for a new access ramp to the I-66 Express Lanes currently under construction as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
