Fairfax City 2019 Holiday Events: Festival Of Lights, More

The 2019 Fairfax City Festival of Lights and Carols features a holiday tree lighting, caroling, live music and more.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Kick off the holiday season at Fairfax City's annual Festival of Lights and Carols, planned Dec. 7 from 12-6 p.m. The annual features a tree lighting ceremony, caroling, live music and more.

The festival is held at Old Town Square, 10415 North St. Caroling and the tree lighting ceremony kick off at 5:30 p.m.

Later in December, all kids 10 and under can meet Santa Claus at the city's annual Lunch With Santa. Planned at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 14, this event offers kids a chance to deliver their holiday wish list to Saint Nick himself.

Lunch with Santa is held at Old Town Hall, 3999 University Dr. Tickets are $6 per child and can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Fairfax City Hall - 10455 Armstrong St.
  • Green Acres - 4401 Sideburn Rd.
  • Sherwood Center - 3740 Old Lee Hwy.

Tickets also can be purchased online.
