Fairfax City Continues Refuse And Recycling During Coronavirus
Beginning April 13, collection may take longer during the day - and yard waste and large debris may remain at the curb until 6 pm.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Fairfax is committed to continue providing curbside collection of refuse/trash, recycling, brush, yard waste, loose leaves (seasonally), large items, and debris once a week.

However, beginning on Monday, April 13, collection may take longer during the day - and yard waste and large debris may remain at the curb until 6 pm or later on regular collection days. Please be assured the items will be collected on the regular service day as soon as possible, and there is no need to report the delay to the Operations Division.
- To identify your collection day, enter your address in the Refuse and Recycling Route Finder.
- The City will continue to provide recycling bins upon request. E-mail RefuseRecycling@fairfaxva.gov or call (703) 385-7837.
