Fairfax City Man Doubles Powerball Prize, Takes Home $100K Check
Fairfax City resident Manjit Singh spent an extra dollar for for Power Play on his winning Powerball ticket and doubled his winnings.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A Fairfax City man won $100,000 from the Virginia Lottery playing Powerball and he didn't even have to leave his house to do it.
Manjit Singh wanted to buy a couple of Powerball tickets for the Nov. 14 drawing. Rather than going out to buy the tickets, he used his personal device to purchase the tickets online.
When the winning numbers were drawn, Singh discovered that he'd matched four of the five winning numbers and the Powerball number for that night's drawing. That usually would've got him $50,000, but Singh spent an extra dollar for Power Play, which doubled his prize to $100,000.
