Katherine Johnson Middle School Thanks Recent Career Day Volunteers
More than 800 students at Katherine Johnson Middle School responded to a survey offering feedback about the school's Nov. 11 Career Day.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Like other seventh and eighth graders in Fairfax County, students at Katherine Johnson Middle School will be off Thursday and Friday to enjoy the Thanksgiving break with their families.
On Tuesday, Friday L. Ouer, one of the counselors at Johnson Middle, shared a message of thanks to the 100 volunteers who participated in the school's Career Day on Nov. 11.

"Thank you all again for spending some time with our students. In addition to the survey we sent to you, we also sent a survey to our students. Over 800 students filled out the survey and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Below are a few comments that the students made.
“Overall, the career day experience was really fun and and learned a lot. I hope that there will be more for future students because it is a great experience.”
“It was a really interesting day and I am very happy to learn new things that I didn't know before.”
“Thanks to all the people that came to our school to teach us about there career.”
“IT WAS AWESOME AND THANK ALL THE WONDERFUL PRESENTERS FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION AND WILLINGNESS TO HELP AND MAKE SCHOOL AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE”
“I liked a lot of Career day because of having to meet professionals that tell us a lot about their job, I completed all the interviews, and that I hope something like this would happen again during the school year.”
“I feel Career Day very wonderful and interesting, the career presenters help me better understand the career I want.”
