Fairfax College Students Graduate, Earn Degrees From Their Schools

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — To shine a light on their academic achievements, Patch shares information provided by Merit News about students from the Fairfax City area who earned a degree or graduated at the end of the spring 2023 term.

Johana Hurst of Fairfax graduated with a master of science in nursing - pediatric nurse practitioner from Regis College during the May 6 commencement exercises. Hurst was among more than 1,300 students who received degrees ranging from associate to doctoral levels at the Weston, Massachusetts school.

Sung In Yuk of Fairfax was among the more than 7,000 students who recently participated in commencement exercises as members of the University of Georgia's Class of 2023. Yuk earned a PharmMD Pharmacy degree.

Ian Christopher Vollmer of Fairfax was among the more than 7,000 students who recently participated in commencement exercises as members of the University of Georgia's Class of 2023. Vollmer earned a bachelor of science degree in genetics.

Jen Chan of Fairfax graduated with a bachelor of arts in business administration from Bridgewater College, which is located in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Vivian Ton of Fairfax graduated with a bachelor of arts in art from Bridgewater College, which is located in Bridgewater, Virginia.

Grace Matson of Fairfax recently graduated from Belhaven University with a bachelor of arts degree. Matson was among more than 600 students who received degrees from Belhaven University during the spring 2023 commencement.
