Fairfax Community Farmers Market To Open For 2023 Season In May

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Local produce and other foods will soon be back for the season with the arrival of the Saturday and Sunday farmers markets operated by the Downtown Fairfax Coalition.

The Saturday Market will be open from May 13-Oct. 28 and the Sunday Market will be open May 14 to Oct. 22. Open 9 a.m.-1 p.m., both markets will be located at 10500 Page Ave. in Fairfax.

• Lamb, Beef, Pork, Chicken & Eggs (chicken, goose, & quail)

• Empanadas, Saltenas, Sausage Rolls, Choripan, & Grilled Sausage Sandwiches
• Coffees & Teas
• Watkins Products and Tupperware
• Soaps & Lotions
• Jewelry, Pottery, Photography, Wood Crafts
• Children’s Books
• Textiles
• Health & Wellness Products
• Arts & Crafts by Local Artists

The Downtown Fairfax Coalition founded the Saturday Farmers Market more than 20 years ago.

Fairfax County Park Authority-run markets feature locally-grown produce, baked goods, prepared foods and more products from local vendors. Participating vendors come from a 125-mile radius of Fairfax County, although there are a few exceptions for rare products.

Park authority farmers markets opening in April are the Burke Farmers Market, McCutcheon/Mount Vernon and Reston Farmers Market. Park authority markets opening in May include Oak Marr (Oakton), Wakefield (Annandale), Annandale, McLean, Kingstowne and Lorton.
