Fairfax Derby-Q 2018: Tickets, Entertainment, Vendors, Parking

It might not be the infield at Churchill Downs, but it's the city's own little version of it as Fairfax pays homage to the Kentucky Derby.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA—It might not be the infield at Churchill Downs, but it's the city's own little version of it as Fairfax pays homage to the Kentucky Derby with quite the spirits-soaked festival in the heart of downtown. It's Derby-Q, 2-8 p.m. May 5 in Old Town Square.

Not sure what to expect? Consider the event's subhead name: BBQ, Blues, Bourbon & Brews Festival. That pretty much says it all, save for the live music and entertainment. And, of course, the 144th "run for the roses" will be broadcast on a giant screen. Tickets are $10 for general admission but early bird discounts and other specials are available.
