Fairfax Golfers Calo, Lee Solid at Northern Region Championship

Rebels golfers Michael Calo and Chan Lee represented their school well during the Northern Region Championship's opening round Tuesday.

Calo shot an eight-over 80, while Lee carries an 87 heading into Wednesday's action. They're chasing Langley's Will Byrne, who shot a one-over 73. Chantilly's Ji Soo Park and Robinson's Alexandra Austin are tied for second at 74.

Chantilly leads the team competiton after posting a 304 on Tuesday. Langley is in second with a 310 and Madison's 320 has the Warhawks in third.

Day two kicks off from Twin Lakes Golf Course at noon.
