Yhomara Warshavsky, owner of Fairfax Jazzercise, recently greeted newly certified Jazzercise instructor Jaclyn Dogrul to her team of fitness instructors.

Like many fitness instructors, Jackie has another job. She owns and operates Jaclyn’s Chic Boutique, an online women’s clothing and accessories boutique. And when she’s not busy with her teaching schedule and her on-line store, she takes care of her family, husband Adam, sons, Adam and Blake, and two adorable cats, Shadow and Oreo.

Jackie learned about Jazzercise from a neighborhood mom who’s also an instructor. “My neighbor Maria invited me to one of her classes, and I had such a blast that I just kept coming back,” she said. And despite her already busy life, she decided to squeeze in fitness instruction as well, opting to undergo the rigorous training and audition process. “We are so happy to have Jackie join our family of instructors,” said Warshavsky. And family is what it’s all about for this peppy 41-year old, saying: “Hands down my favorite thing about Jazzercise is the incredible community of women I've met. They're supportive, motivating, and inspiring!”

Though she got into fitness instruction for the fun of it, Jackie acknowledges the important role fitness plays in her life: “I believe that fitness is not only essential for our physical well-being but also for our mental health. It sets the tone for the day and gives me a sense of accomplishment after completing a workout.” It’s a feeling she’s happy to share with others who attend her classes held at The Mott Community Center and The Vienna Community Center.
