Fairfax Man Arrested After Alleged Assault Outside Chain Bridge Road Office Building
A Fairfax man faces an assault and battery charge after police say he attacked a person outside a Chain Bridge Road office building.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 32-year-old Fairfax man has been charged with assault and battery after police say he attacked a person from behind outside an office building in Fairfax City.
According to City of Fairfax police, officers responded at 10:25 p.m. Saturday to the Edosomwan Building at 4290 Chain Bridge Road to investigate the report of an assault.
The victim told officers that a man they knew assaulted them from behind as they were leaving the building, police said.

Investigators identified the alleged assailant as Daniel Ferrufino-Lopez, 32, of Fairfax.
Police arrested Ferrufino-Lopez and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with one count of assault and battery, a Class 1 misdemeanor. He was later released on an unsecured bond, according to police.

Ferrufino-Lopez's case is scheduled for an adjudicatory hearing at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13 in Fairfax City General District Court.
Online court records also show Ferrufino-Lopez was charged in Fairfax County in May 2024 with assault and battery against a family member. That charge was later dropped when prosecutors entered a nolle prosequi, ending the case without a conviction.
