Fairfax Mayoral Election Candidate Forum Monday

It'll be held at the City of Fairfax Regional Library ahead of the Feb. 7 special election to choose a successor for Steven Stombres.

FAIRFAX, VA — The city's three candidates for mayor — council members Michael J. DeMarco, David L. Meyer and Eleanor D. "Ellie" Smith — will gather for a forum tonight ahead of the Feb. 7 special election.

Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area Education Fund, it's set for 7-9 p.m. at the City of Fairfax Regional Library meeting room, 10360 North Street.

A question-and answer session will be followed by an informal period for citizens to meet the candidates individually.
