Fairfax Stream Restoration Project Begins March 2
The stream restoration project will be conducted from 10517 Center Street/10600 Springmann Drive east to the Chain Bridge Road bridge.
Meadville Land Service, Inc. is scheduled to begin construction of Phase I of the “Stream Restoration Project along an Unnamed Tributary of the Accotink Creek” on March 2. The project is expected to last for four months.
The Phase I stream restoration project will be conducted from 10517 Center Street/10600 Springmann Drive east to the Chain Bridge Road bridge.

Work hours 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays (per city noise ordinance). Non-disruptive work may take place outside of those hours.
Work may be postponed due to inclement weather or high flows in the stream after rainfall.

Public Works has contracted with Wetland Studies & Solutions, Inc. to provide construction oversight and their inspector will be on-site while work is taking place.
Updates on Phase II will be available as this phase moves forward.
