1 Occupant Seriously Injured In Fire Fairfax Villa Home

A house fire in the Fairfax Villa area leaves one occupant hospitalized with life-threatening injuries on Thursday night, authorities say.

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County fire and rescue units responded just before 9 p.m. for the report of a house fire in the Fairfax Villa neighborhood that left one occupant seriously injured, according to authorities.

When crews arrived on the scene, they saw smoke coming from the basement of the single-family home in the 400 block of San Carlos Drive and one occupant was reported missing, according to a post on FCFR's official X account.

Fire and rescue personnel located the missing occupant, who was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the post. The fire was extinguished and no firefighters were reported injured.
