Fairfax Water Offers Payment Options To Customers Affected By COVID-19

Drinking water and wastewater utilities provide a critical service to the community, and Fairfax Water is committed to assisting customers who may be facing financial hardships due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Assistance Option 1: Request payment assistance through the COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program — DEADLINE EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 1, 2021
To provide financial relief for customers in need, Fairfax Water is working with Fairfax County, the City of Falls Church, and the City of Fairfax to administer funds received from the Commonwealth of Virginia's COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program.
Qualified customers must apply for this relief program to Fairfax Water no later than DECEMBER 1, 2021 (please note extended deadline). Click here for more information, and for applications in multiple languages.
Assistance Option 2: Set up an extended payment plan through the COVID-19 Relief Repayment Plan (referred to below as "Repayment Plan")
Customers can set up a Repayment Plan with Fairfax Water to bring your overdue balance up to date during the next six months or longer, if necessary. This
Repayment Plan will cover the overdue bill for the customer's drinking water service, provided by Fairfax Water, and wastewater service, provided by the governments of Fairfax County, City of Fairfax, or City of Falls Church, depending on location. Call the Fairfax Water Customer Service department at 703.698.5800 for more information.
Assistance Option 3: Request payment assistance through local agencies
There are several local community organizations that may assist with utility bill payments. Click here to visit the Fairfax Water website for a complete list, and contact the organizations directly for assistance inquiries.
Fairfax City residents also may contact the city Human Services Office for information (email, 703-385-7894).

- Call Fairfax Water at 703-698-5800 and speak to a Customer Service Representative.
