Fall For The Book Festival Through Sept. 18

The annual celebration includes events each day in and around Fairfax.

The Fall for the Book festival kicked off Thursday in and around the City of Fairfax.

Local and bestselling authors will be speaking or celebrated at events at George Mason University, area bookstores, community centers and libraries.

Big names at the festival include Eula Biss, Martín Espada, Jodi Picoult and Richard Russo. But, as Art Taylor points out in the Washington Independent, there are more reasons to attend the festival, including local talent.
