Felony Abduction, Burglary Charges Filed Against Ashburn Man: Police
Police detectives say a 35-year-old Ashburn man forced a Fairfax City resident out of their home and into a car early Sunday morning.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The abduction of a Fairfax City resident from their home early Sunday has led to the arrest of an Ashburn man, according to a police release.
Police responded around 6:13 a.m. Sunday to the 4100 block of University Drive for the report of a burglary and abduction. The victim told police that a male acquaintance had forced open a window and then made the victim leave the area in a vehicle with him, according to the report.
When the man stopped at a convenience store in Fairfax County, the victim freed themself, ran into the store, and sought help from the clerk, according to police. The man left the area.

Through their investigation, detectives identified 35-year-old Michael Morei of 22799 Oatlands Grove in Ashburn as the suspect in this case.
After obtaining warrants for one count of felony burglary and one count of felony abduction, the detectives arrested Morei on Tuesday, with the assistance of Fairfax County Police. He was then taken to the adult detention center, where he is being held without bond, according to the release.
