The RSVP Lunch and Learn series are made possible thanks to a generous grant from Inova, to help promote volunteering as a proven way to better the health among seniors, not only for the volunteers but the clients being served. Studies have shown that pet visitation has been medically proven to have a calming effect; touching animals helps chase away loneliness, depression, and withdrawal.
