Giant Named Anchor Store at 'Scout On The Circle' In Fairfax

FAIRFAX, VA — Another Giant supermarket apparently is coming to town, and this one would be the anchor store in the proposed development "Scout on the Circle," by Combined Properties on Fairfax Circle, according to both the developer and the city. The prominent Northern Virginia grocer would occupy 54,000 square feet.

Combined Properties, which plans 400 apartment units to go with 29,000 square feet of retail space, describes the overall project as such: "Future residents will enjoy urban conveniences without sacrificing suburban comforts – on site shops, restaurants and Giant Food, bright outdoor spaces, 2 parking garages, ample convenience parking and class-A apartment amenities that exceed expectations." The developer adds that the project will include a large plaza and "an active streetscape." Construction could begin by later this year or early 2018.
