GMU Student Dies In Fall From Window, Drugs Suspected: School

A 19-year-old George Mason University sophomore was killed Saturday after falling from a fifth-story dorm window. Drugs suspected: Scool

FAIRFAX, VA — A 19-year-old George Mason University sophomore was killed Saturday afternoon after falling from a fifth-story dormitory window, and the school said Sunday he reportedly may have been under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs. The student's name was not released. He died at an area hospital shortly after the 4:41 p.m. incident.

Campus police chief Carl Rowan, Jr., said the fall, which occurred at the Potomac Heights dorm, said drugs may have played a factor and suggested other GMU students might be in possession of the same drug. He said anyone with information and/or drugs should call campus threat with no threat of discipline. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts.
