GotSneakers? Donate Gently Used Shoes To Support Local Nonprofit

Assistance League of Northern Virginia Offers Several Collection Locations

GotSneakers?

Assistance League of Northern Virginia is working with GotSneakers to collect sneakers to raise funds for its philanthropic programs. Everyone can help simply by donating shoes no longer needed.

Your donation will help Assistance League raise funds for children and families in need in our community. GotSneakers compensates charitable organizations based on the quantity and condition of the athletic shoes they collect. Gently worn and new athletic shoes will be provided to people who would otherwise lack access to affordable footwear. Sneakers that can’t be used for that purpose will be recycled for use in paving materials to resurface playgrounds and tracks. Win-win-win!!!

Assistance League currently has volunteers in several areas throughout Northern Virginia who are collecting sneakers for this effort. If you have sneakers to donate, simply send an email message to the volunteer who is closest to you, and you’ll receive a reply providing the address of the drop box. Those areas and the related email addresses are: Burke: burke@alnv.org; Chantilly/Fairfax: fairfax.chantilly@alnv.org; Fairfax: Fairfax@alnv.org; Herndon: herndon@alnv.org; Oakton: oakton@alnv.org; Oak Hill: oakhill@alnv.org; and Springfield: springfield@alnv.org.
