Greetings from your neighborhood mobile chiropractor!

I am Dr. Erica Bullock, Concierge Wellness Doctor with Kinetic Health Alternatives and resident chiropractor for NOVA Natural Birth Center in Chantilly.  Every month, I will be sharing with you my passion for prenatal and pediatric chiropractic.  To begin, I would like to introduce myself and give you some background information to give you a better sense of who I am as a doctor.

First and foremost, I am a mom too!  I have three amazing little girls, aged 5, 2 1/2 and 9 months.  I had chiropractic care throughout all three pregnancies, so I have experienced the benefits firsthand.  My first child was born in a birth center, and the last two were planned home births.  I thoroughly enjoyed each birth experience and love to share those experiences with other moms in an effort to promote positive birth stories.

I have always had an interest in pediatrics, even before I began my chiropractic education.  However, with the experiences of my first two pregnancies while earning my doctorate, my passion for prenatal work really grew.  I love giving prenatal care because it is a perfect example of the profound power of a chiropractic adjustment.  It is so much more than just pain relief.  It is about support of function and optimal health.  With prenatal care, this means not only are you more comfortable, but your body is better able to support and nurture your growing baby, and labor and birth are a faster and easier process.

As a Concierge Wellness Doctor, I get to spend more quality time with my patients.  For a standard appointment, I devote thirty minutes to address nutrition, exercise and stress management, discuss other health related decisions and birth planning, and perform treatment.  My goal is to support my patients in taking charge of their health, achieving the natural birth experience they desire, and protecting the health of their families.
