Hit And Run By Unauthorized Driver Charges Filed In Fairfax City
City of Fairfax Police arrested a Fairfax man in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred Feb. 2.

FAIRFAX, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested 19-year-old Bryan Vasquez-Cortez of Fairfax in connection with a hit and run that occurred on Feb. 2 in the city.
Around 8:05 p.m., officers responded to the area of Maple Street and Oakwood Drive for the report of a hit and run. A preliminary investigation revealed that not only did driver of the striking vehicle not have the authority to drive that vehicle, but that he'd entered the owner's house unlawfully, according to police.
After taking Vasquez-Cortez, city police transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, unlawful entry, petit larceny, hit and run, driving on suspended license, and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Vasquez-Cortez was held without bond and awaiting a court date.
