'Hometown Thursdays' Begins May 4 in Fairfax

FAIRFAX, VA — There's a new concert series in town, boys and girls. It's called "Hometown Thursdays," and the free event will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays in May, June, August and September. July? Nope, with reasons not provided.

But the new series offers a chance to chill out on warm spring, summer and fall evenings at Old Town Square, 3999 University Drive. Local bands are the highlight, and local bonding would seem a genial goal.
