How Fairfax City Precincts Voted In 2020 Presidential Election

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Residents of Fairfax City voted in favor of former Vice President Joe Biden for president. They also gave Sen. Mark Warner (D) and Rep. Gerry Connolly resounding victories in the city.

Biden won 9,048 votes, or 67.98 percent of the ballots in Fairfax City, compared to 3,962, or 29.77 percent, for President Donald Trump, according to unofficial results.

In the Senate race, Warner received 9,046 votes, or 68.75 of the ballots, compared to 4,097 votes, or 31.14 percent, for his Republican challenger Daniel Gade.

In the 11th Congressional District, Connolly easily defeated his Republican challenger, Manga Anantatmula in Fairfax City, getting 8,850 votes, or 68.05 percent of the ballots cast. Anantatmula received 4,110 votes, or 31.60 percent of the ballots.

Both Warner and Connolly were declared winners Tuesday night, according to unofficial results.

Like the rest of the state, Fairfax City residents voted strongly in favor of the two constitutional amendments: one on the creation of a redistricting commission and the other on exempting military personnel from state and local taxation on vehicles.

On the precinct level, Biden dominated the absentee ballots. The relatively small vote totals for Biden and Trump at polling places on Election Day went in favor of Trump, with the president winning four out of the six precincts in the city.
