Indecent Exposure Charges Filed For Incidents At 2 Shopping Malls
Fairfax County Police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection to two recent incidents of indecent exposure at two Fairfax shopping malls.

FAIRFAX, VA — A Maryland man was charged in connection to a series of indecent exposure incidents at two area shopping malls, Fairfax County Police said.
With the help of the department's Fugitive Tracking and Apprehension Squad, detectives arrested 29-year-old Jamall Mathis in the Franconia area on Friday morning, charging him with two counts of indecent exposure. He was held on a secured bond and then later released.
Investigators first identified Mathis as a possible suspect following the report of a man exposing himself around 5 p.m. on Jan. 11 in the Spencer's store inside Fair Oaks Mall.

Once detectives identified Mathis as a suspect in the Fair Oaks Mall exposure, they were able to link him to a similar incident that occurred Oct. 12, 2023, at Five Below inside Springfield Mall.
Due to the repeated nature of the offense, investigators are reaching out additional victims who may not have reported the incident to police.
