Inova Merrifield Mixed-Use Development Not A Priority: Report
A planned mixed-use development for Inova's Merrifield campus is not a priority for the medical center's CEO, according to news reports.

MERRIFIELD, VA — Dr. Stephen Jones, president and CEO of Inova, told Washington Business Journal reporter Sara Gilmore recently that the planned mixed-use redevelopment of the Merrifield campus was not a priority.
Located at the former headquarters of Exxon Mobil, the 117-acre property off of Gallows Road has long been considered for redevelopment, adding a hotel, restaurants, retail, housing and other uses to the medical campus, WBJ reports.
“It’s not a priority, for sure — and never was a priority for me,” Jones told Gilmore. “I came here to deliver clinical care.”
