Investigators Seek Public's Help In Valley Road House Fire
The fire near Fairfax City was discovered by a passerby who called 911. The home is considered a total loss, officials said.

FAIRFAX, VA — Fairfax County fire investigators are asking for the public's help in gathering information regarding a house fire in the 11600 block of Valley Road near Fairfax City. The home was under construction at the time of the fire, and fire officials are calling it a total loss.
On Nov. 8 just after 5:30 p.m., units responded to Valley Road for a fire reported at the two-story, single family home. A passerby discovered the fire and called 911, officials said. There were no occupants in the house at the time of the fire, and damages are estimated at $200,000.
Fire investigators would like to speak with anyone who has information regarding the fire. Additionally, anyone who lives in the area who may have home security video footage from between 4:15-6 p.m. Nov. 8 is asked to contact Captain Palmer at 703-246-4707 or timothy.palmer@fairfaxcounty.gov.
