Irish Folk Festival 2017 Saturday In Fairfax
The 22nd annual Irish Folk Festival is noon-7:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairfax at Sherwood Center/Van Dyck Park and Auld Shebeen Irish Pub.

FAIRFAX, VA — Hear the fiddles? The flutes? The harps? The uilleann pipes? If you actually know what uilleann pipes are, and with a nod to The Dubliners, you might want to check out what's going down noon-7:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairfax. It's the 22nd annual Irish Folk Festival. Some of the genre's brightest lights will perform, and there will be workshops, as well as dancing.
It's being held at Sherwood Center at Van Dyck Park (3740 Old Lee Highway) and The Auld Shebeen Irish Pub (3971 Chain Bridge Road). Admission is $10 but families will not be charged more than $20. Among the performers: Billy McComiskey, Open the Door for Three, Cover the Buckle and Aoife Scott. Music workshops will be at both sites for $20 a session. Click here for the complete festival schedule.
