Join Volunteer Fairfax on 9/11 to launch The Volunteer Grove

The Volunteer Grove is Established by Fairfax County to Honor 25 Years of the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards

At the 2017 Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards in April, with the theme, Volunteers Are the Roots of Our Strong Community, it was announced that the Fairfax County Government Urban Forest Management Division, in recognition of the 25 years of the Service Awards, would plant 25 trees on the grounds of the Fairfax County Government Center.

On September 11,the first phase of planting The Volunteer Grove will begin with the task of clearing the land of invasive vegetation. The tree planting ceremony and dedication will take place on Saturday, October 28 as part of VolunteerFest, our local #MakeADifferenceDay celebration.
