Kelly's Oyster House & Bar Coming To Former Capital Ale House Location
Owner of Hamrock's Restaurant in Old Town Fairfax will be opening Kelly's Oyster House & Bar at the former home of Capital Ale House.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Local chef and restauranteur Bill Hamrock will be opening Kelly's Oyster House and Bar at 4069 Chain Bridge Road in Old Town Fairfax. The building is the former home of the Capital Ale House.
Hamrock already owns and operates Hamrock's Restaurant, which is located just down the street at 3950 Chain Bridge Road.
Back in February, Hamrock described the business that bears his name as a neighborhood restaurant that's "casual enough for a quick bite during the week, but nice enough to celebrate a birthday or anniversary."

Kelly's Oyster House and Bar promises to be different bucket of oysters, according to Hamrock. Patch asked what diners can expect from his new venture and here is what Hamrock had to say:
"Kelly's is first an Oyster Bar. We will always have at least 6 different oysters offered daily. An Oyster Shucker will be at the Oyster Bar by 4 p.m. every day. We are also a restaurant plus a bar (sports bar). An oyster bar is a place for everyone. A casual restaurant. As an Oyster Bar the menu will have a lot of seafood but we also will have a good amount of salads and sandwiches. A place where a family of five can come for dinner for less than $100. We have a large bar which has a sports theme. We will have a full bar menu and our specialty drink will be Fresh Squeezed Crushes. We were trying to open last week but have had a slight delay. So we are opening very soon."
Kelly's recently posted a hiring notice on Glassdoor seeking an experienced bartender/server/cook who "must be responsible, honest and a team player. We have a large bar." The base pay range for this full-time position is $15-$50 an hour, with a median pay of $32.50 a hour.
