Dunham probably is best known as the creator, writer and star of the HBO series Girls, for which she has received numerous Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe awards.

Young voters are seen as a key voting bloc for Clinton, and Dunham, 30, has been outspoken in her dislike of Republican nominee Donald Trump, whose leaked, lewd comments about women from 2005 especially raised her ire.
