Malicious Wounding Charge Filed In 2023 Stabbing At Fairfax City Motel

Detectives from the City of Fairfax Police Department arrested a 37-year-old Alexandria man on an aggravated malicious wounding warrant.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 37-year-old Alexandria man is facing an aggravated malicious wounding charge in connection with a stabbing that took place last December at a Fairfax City motel.

City of Fairfax Police responded around 4:38 p.m, on Dec. 24, 2023, for the report of a stabbing at the Lee High Inn, which is located at 9865 Fairfax Blvd.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was stabbed by an acquaintance following an argument. The victim was taken to Fairfax Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators identified a suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for aggravated malicious wounding, according to police.

With the help of the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office, detectives arrested Jerome Carpenter of Alexandria on Tuesday. He was then taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was served with the warrant and held without bond.
